Certified translation for an International Consultants of Delaware evaluation

International Consultants of Delaware (ICD), established in 1977, a NACES charter member and since 2000 part of CGFNS International, requires that any document not issued in English be accompanied by an English translation performed by a certified translator. You may not translate your own documents, your institution may translate and send its translation directly, and ICD reserves the right to verify any translation, since it relies on the translation's accuracy for the evaluation. ICD sells translations at $85 per page. Eagle Translate is an ATA Corporate Member, and each translation is certified by the named professional translator and verifiable by certificate number. Certified translation is $24.95 per page of up to 250 words, in 2 to 3 business days, and STUDENT25 takes 25% off.

An inaccurate translation produces an inaccurate evaluation, and the cost lands on you. Word for word, with every stamp described, is how we keep that from happening.

Requirements

What an ICD evaluation requires of your documents

  • Any document not issued in English must be accompanied by an English translation performed by a certified translator; applicants may not translate their own documents.
  • Translations may be performed by the educational institution and submitted directly to ICD, or coordinated through ICD at $85 per page.
  • ICD reserves the right to verify any English translation provided with an application and relies on its accuracy for the evaluation.
  • ICD was established in 1977, is a charter member of NACES, and was acquired by CGFNS International in May 2000.
  • ICD is on the New York State Education Department's approved list for teacher certification credential reports.

Common reasons translations get rejected

  • Translating your own documents. ICD's rule is printed in capitals, you may not.
  • A translation with no named translator. ICD asks for a certified translator and reserves the right to verify the translation; an anonymous one cannot be verified.
  • Paying $85 per page for a translation you could reuse. ICD's in house translation serves the ICD evaluation; a certified translation you own serves the university, the board and the employer too.

ICD's course by course evaluations list courses, US unit equivalents, US grade equivalents and a summary of US degree equivalency, which is why the transcript must be translated in full.

Applicants educated in China may have translations coordinated through a named partner in Beijing; everyone else arranges the translation or buys ICD's.
