Apostilles are issued by the Division of Corporations of the Florida Department of State in Tallahassee, which is the only competent authority authorized to issue notarial and apostille certifications in Florida.

USCIS does not require notarized translations from Florida applicants. The federal standard is a certified translation with the translator's signed statement of accuracy. Notarization enters the picture in Florida mainly when a document will be apostilled.
A notarized document submitted for a Florida apostille must contain a full notarial statement and the notary public's original signature, stamp, and seal. A photocopy is not acceptable.
Florida has authorized remote online notarization under state law since January 2020, though acceptance of remotely notarized documents varies by receiving office, so confirm before relying on it.

- A term with no exact United States equivalent is rendered to carry the meaning it has in the system that issued it, rather than swapped for an American term that would change what the document says. Where a term needs explaining, the explanation sits in brackets beside it instead of replacing it.
- A document has been asked for at short notice. How quickly can it be done?

- What does the certificate attest to?
- It attests to the accuracy of the translation. It states in those words that it does not attest to the authenticity of the source document or to the truth of its contents. That boundary is what makes it a certification a reviewer can rely on rather than a claim about your evidence.
